One of the primary advantages of owning a domain name is the ability to create e-mail addresses using that domain name. For example, if your domain name is mywebsite.com, you could create an email address such as me@mywebsite.com

I. How to create a new email account
1. Log into SiteControl with your username and password (click for instructions).
2. Click Email on the Manage Services page of SiteControl.
3. When you set up POP/IMAP e-mail for the first time, click Activate Email. Once activated, you will never see this icon again.
Next, using the dropdown menu, select the plan for which you wish to activate e-mail.
Finally, select the radio button next to SiteMail, and click Activate. It may also appear as "Advanced Mail", which is the same.
You should then see the confirmation message. Please allow up to a few minutes for the activation to complete. In the meanwhile, click Back to Overview.
4. Click on Qwest Office Email (Vanity Domain Mail or SiteMail Mailboxes) and then Create Email Address button.
NOTE:The number of Mailboxes Included depends on the plan you ordered.
5. On the Create Email Address page, follow the instructions below:
- In the * Create Username: enter the name of the new Email address. Example: janedoe
- Enter and confirm a password in line with the provided password complexity requirements.
Note: The two icons in the step 3 area indicate if the password requirements are fulfilled and if the password fields match.
- Choose to activate and configure additional options like automatic replies and email forwarding.
- When you are ready, click on the Create Email Address button.
6. A confirmation message appears. Generally, e-mail accounts can be created in a matter of minutes. On
rare occasions, it can take up to 24 hours.
Click Back to Overview.
7. A new email address appears in the Email Addresses section on the Email Management page.
If it does not, then click Refresh List.
II. How to reset a mailbox password via SiteControl
1. Log into SiteControl with your username and password (click for instructions).
2. Click Email on the Manage Services page of SiteControl, and then click Qwest Office Email (Vanity Domain Mail or SiteMail Mailboxes).
3. Click on Edit next to the email address.
4. The Edit Email Address page appears. Click Edit Password.
5. Enter the New Password then repeat the password and click on Update Now once done.
6. The Password Confirmation screen appears. Click Back to Overview to go back to the Email screen.
Note: The next time you check your mail, you will use the new password. If you are using E-mail software such as Microsoft Outlook, be sure you make the necessary changes in the software as well.
III. How to reset a mailbox password via the Webmail interface
1. Sign in to the CenturyLink webmail interface using your mailbox credentials at: https://webmail.centurylinkoffice.net/

2. Click on Settings then select the Password menu.
3. On the next page, you will need to enter your Current Password, after that the New Password and Confirm New Password.
Password security requirements are:
- The password must not start with the phrase "pass"
- The password must not contain part of the domain name
- The password must not contain part of the email address
- The password must contain at least one letter
- The password must contain at least one number
- The password must be at least eight (8) characters long
4. Once done, click on the Change Password button on the left-side menu.
Note: The next time you log in to your webmail you will need to use your new password. Keep in mind that the password should be updated on all of your e-mail client applications and mobile devices as well.
